Take That and Take THAT! 28 Years Surviving Parkinson’s Disease…and still counting…
About the Author
Martha has been a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, camper, and councilor, tennis player, all-round athlete, gypsy and pilot. She earned her Bachelors degree from Skidmore College in 1966 and her Master’s degree in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from Purdue University in 1973, the same month she became a pilot. She always knew she could earn a Master’s degree, but learning to fly took her out of her comfort zone, something that Parkinson’s disease would also do. She has dealt with this condition for twenty-eight years with grace, courage, and determination.
Book Description:
This memoir shares my story - not about the scientific aspects of the disease, but about the nitty-gritty daily grind of living with Parkinson’s. And, yes, the positives, too, of living with this affliction, and there are some, definitely.
"Take That... that, and... THAT! Parkinson's, you are not welcome in my life." WHAP, WHAP, WHAP!
Parkinson's has closed many doors, but it has opened at least as many.
